Kangaroo Island Vegan Travel Guide

Kangaroo Island is a fabulous place to visit for nature & animal lovers. Luckily there are plenty of places on KI with vegan options for conscious travellers. Travel to remote places can sometimes make finding vegan options tricky but there are many vegan dining options on Kangaroo Island as well as some vegan wineries!
Credit for the information & food photos here go to Kat who posted this infomation in the Adelaide Vegans Facebook group. My trip to KI involved camping and cooking so it great to hear from another vegan traveller about her experience.

Vegan restaurants on Kangaroo Island
I’m just home from a lovely birthday trip to Kangaroo Island and found a few unexpected little vegan spots and options, I know people quite often ask where to go in KI so hopefully, this might be useful to someone… – Kat

Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Oil Distillery
Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Oil Distillery has a cute little cafe with permanent vegan options of a burger and a Thai salad (pictured and both yummy). They sometimes have specials of arancini balls and/or mushroom and tofu dumplings (all sold out when we were there ). They also do cider-tasting which is fun.

Emu Bay Lavender Farm
Emu Bay Lavender Farm offer a vegan Buddha bowl and can do a vegan smashed avo on sourdough – I didn’t try either of these but can confirm their coffee and fresh juices are very good plus it’s a really nice shaded outdoor seating area perfect for a hot day.
